Registration
Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Please use our online system to complete your registration. There is a one time, non-refundable service fee of $15 for new families. There is no service fee for returning families.
If payment is made online, a full refund minus the PayPal service fee will be issued if you cancel your registration before the first day of the semester. Like most programs, we cannot normally offer refunds or give credit for classes missed during the semester, even if absences have been frequent. Nonetheless, at the discretion of the director, partial credit may be provided toward future classes in cases of prolonged absence due to severe illness or other unusual circumstances. We have a very flexible make up policy (see below) and do try our best to accommodate everyone in any way that we can. However, please understand that your class registration is a commitment and that as a small business, we pay our teachers, order materials, and agree to rent out spaces to offer our classes based on that commitment. Thank you for your understanding.
Make-up Classes
If you miss your regularly scheduled Music Together® class for any reason, you may schedule a make-up class. Due to space restrictions, make up class options are limited, cannot be guaranteed, and must be reserved ahead of time. Make up classes must be taken during the current semester and cannot be "carried over." You may schedule your make-up as soon as you know you are going to miss a class. We often see an end-of-semester rush, so try to schedule your make-ups as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
To schedule a make-up class, please use the online Make Up Class Scheduler located on our website under the "Enrolled Families" tab. Here is a direct LINK to that page. If you know that you will be absent from your class weeks in advance please be sure to tell your teacher so we may open up your class space for others to make up a class during that time. You may also reserve the space ahead of time online for a make up class if you know you are going to miss a class well in advance due to a prior commitment. If you know you will not be attending a previously scheduled make-up class, please cancel it so the spot becomes available for another family. If you have registered for a make-up class that you cannot attend and you do not cancel the class online before 8:00 a.m. the morning of, this will count as a make-up for you and your child.
Class Cancellations
Holiday or special occasion closures will be announced at the beginning of each semester and will be built into our schedule. Classes may be cancelled due to inclement weather, teacher illness, and for other extraordinary circumstances. In the case of inclement weather, please check your email/texts and our Facebook page for class cancellation information. Should your class be cancelled because of teacher illness or for some other extraordinary circumstances, you will be notified by email/text with the information you provided at the time of your registration. One additional week may be added to the session to make up for a class cancellation. Cancelled classes beyond that will be credited to families towards future class registrations at the rate of $18 per class.
Health Policy
The health of all classroom participants is important to us, so we take measures to ensure the cleanliness of our classroom and limit exposure to germs. We take time to sanitize our classroom spaces as well as all shared instruments and materials before and after each class with a child-safe cleaning solution. Sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer are available in class for your use as well.
If you or your child are not feeling well or have any symptoms of illness, please stay home from class and schedule a make-up.
Privacy Policy
By enrolling in a Music Together class with Music Together Coastal Melodies, a licensed Music Together center, you agree that any contact information you provide may be shared with Music Together Worldwide (MTW). For information about how MTW may use and /or store this information, please review the Music Together Worldwide Privacy Policy.
Face Masks
Face masks for germ prevention are always welcome but not required for our classes at this time.
Photos and Video
We ask that parents and caregivers refrain from taking photos during class so that they can be truly engaged in the music making experience at all times. If a parent or caregiver wishes to take photos before or after class with instruments, our teachers will be happy to help to make that possible. The taking of videos during songs is strictly prohibited due to copyright laws. At times, Music Together Coastal Melodies teachers may take still photos during classes or events which may then be used for marketing and promotional purposes. Names of individual children or their families will never be used in conjunction with these images.
Cell Phones
Please turn off cell phones ringers (vibrate is acceptable) during class time. Cell phone use during class time is not permitted. In case of emergencies, please step out of the classroom/class area to accept the call. Please do not text during class time.
Siblings and Other Guests
Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are welcome to attend class at any time. Family music-making at home is extremely valuable to your child's music development, and attending class occasionally helps family members feel more comfortable joining in. If you would like to bring another guest (including an older sibling who may be home from school), please call or email us to arrange this. Visitation spots are provided on a first come, first served basis and are not always available.
